International Court of Justice Postpones the Sudanese Army’s Complaint Against the UAE

The International Court of Justice decided on Thursday to postpone the complaint filed by the Sudanese army against the UAE to a later date without specifying when.

The court in The Hague began its first session on the lawsuit brought by the Sudanese armed forces, accusing the UAE of violating its obligations under the Genocide Convention.

UAE representative Reem Ktait stated that the accusations are baseless.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International documented horrific sexual violence against women and girls by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces during the civil war.
