Liverpool Football Club announced on Friday the extension of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah’s contract until the summer of 2027, in a move that reflects the club’s commitment to retaining one of its most iconic players and reaffirming confidence in its ambitious new project under fresh managerial leadership.
The official announcement was made through the club’s website and social media platforms
In his first remarks after signing the new deal, the captain of the Egyptian national team said: “Of course, I’m very excited. We have a great team now, and we had a special one in the past as well. But I signed because I believe in our ability to win more trophies and enjoy football together.”
Since joining Liverpool, Salah has played a pivotal role in the club’s triumphs, most notably winning the UEFA Champions League in 2019, the English Premier League in 2020, and the FIFA Club World Cup, in addition to several domestic titles. His remarkable individual achievements have also placed him among the club’s all-time top scorers.
