Erdogan Accuses Israel of Attempting to “Undermine the Revolution” in Syria and Fuel Divisions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused the Israeli occupation on Friday of seeking to “undermine the revolution” in Syria by fueling divisions following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

In a diplomatic forum in Antalya, Erdogan stated that Israel “is trying to undermine the December 8 revolution by inciting minorities to oppose the government.” He also accused it of “directly threatening the stability of the region” through its attacks on Lebanon and Syria.

These remarks come in the wake of increased military pressure from the Israeli occupation in Syria, including ground incursions targeting bases and a military airport.
