Araghchi Arrives in Muscat for Nuclear Talks with Washington

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Muscat to engage in nuclear negotiations with the United States.

Iranian state media reported on Saturday that a negotiating team led by Araghchi landed in Oman to explore ways of resuming the nuclear dialogue between Tehran and Washington.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that Iran is “determined to use all means to protect its national interests.”

This move follows a message sent last March by former U.S. President Donald Trump to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, inviting direct nuclear talks despite Washington’s 2018 withdrawal from the deal.
