Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that the first round of indirect talks with the United States lasted two and a half hours, during which messages were exchanged through Oman.

He explained that the upcoming round, which is expected to be held next Saturday, will address the general framework of a potential agreement regarding the Iranian nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions.

The White House confirmed that the talks were “very positive and constructive.”
