Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara and his accompanying delegation arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday for an official visit, marking his first since assuming power in Damascus.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss common issues, including ways to enhance economic and political cooperation between the two countries.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed met with President al-Shara, where they discussed developments in Syria.

The UAE President emphasized his country’s support for the Syrian people in facing the challenges of the transitional phase and in rebuilding the country to achieve security and stability.
