Military Escalation Between Israeli Occupation and Houthis Following Rocket Launches from Yemen

On Sunday, the spokesperson for the Israeli army announced the activation of sirens in several areas across the country after detecting a rocket launch from Yemen.

In response to the attack, U.S. forces conducted three airstrikes targeting a factory in the Bani Matar district, west of the capital Sana’a, resulting in the deaths of seven civilians and injuries to more than 20 others.

The military spokesperson for the Houthi group, Yahya Saree, announced the execution of a “qualitative military operation” against the Israeli occupation, which included the launch of two ballistic missiles, one of which was hypersonic, and the downing of an American MQ-9 drone while it was carrying out hostile missions in Hajjah Governorate.

Sirens sounded in about 300 towns and cities in the occupied territories, leading to the closure of Ben Gurion International Airport.

The military spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obaida, praised the attack, affirming Yemen’s support for the Palestinian cause.
