Chinese President Xi Jinping began a three-day state visit to Malaysia on Tuesday, at the invitation of King Sultan Ibrahim, according to a statement by Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry.
The visit will include an official welcoming ceremony and a meeting with the Malaysian monarch at the National Palace. President Xi is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Discussions will focus on deepening cooperation between the two nations, as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The two leaders will also witness the signing of several memoranda of understanding, agreements, and letters of cooperation across various sectors.
