Jordanian authorities announced the arrest of 16 individuals linked to a plot threatening national security, involving the manufacturing and importing of rockets and explosives, as well as a drone production site.

The General Intelligence Department revealed that the plan aimed to recruit and train operatives in Jordan and neighboring Lebanon.

This comes amid accusations against the Muslim Brotherhood of instigating protests, as thousands, primarily from the large Palestinian population, have been demonstrating against Israel’s assaults on Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire, with over 51,000 casualties reported since October 2023.
