The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has reported that approximately 8,000 people have gone missing in Sudan since the beginning of 2024, due to ongoing conflict and deteriorating humanitarian conditions.

The ICRC emphasized that many families are suffering from the loss of their loved ones, exacerbating their hardships in these challenging circumstances.

The committee called for increased international support to improve the humanitarian situation in the country.
