Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Wednesday the arrest of 89 individuals suspected of links to the ISIS terrorist organization, in a series of simultaneous counter-terror operations conducted across 17 provinces.
In a post on his official account on X, Yerlikaya said the operations were carried out in coordination with regional police departments, the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Counterterrorism Department (TEM) of the General Directorate of Security.
The raids targeted individuals identified as “active within the ISIS organization” in the provinces of: Antalya, Batman, Denizli, Elazığ, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Kahramanmaraş, Kırıkkale, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Van, and Yozgat.
