Kazan to Host “Russia – Islamic World” Forum on May 13 with Delegates from 74 Countries

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, announced on Thursday that representatives from 74 countries and 61 Russian regions have confirmed their participation in the upcoming Kazan International Economic Forum: “Russia – Islamic World.”

Minnikhanov made the announcement during a meeting of the forum’s organizing committee, chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, where preparations for the event were reviewed.

“So far, participation from 74 countries and 61 Russian regions has been confirmed,” Minnikhanov said, adding that registration remains open and organizational work is ongoing. The forum’s economic program will include around 130 diverse events.

The forum will take place in Kazan from May 13 to 18, serving as a strategic platform to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural, and social ties between Russia and member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Backed by high-level state support, the Kazan Forum forms a key part of Russia’s efforts to bolster partnerships with the Islamic world, especially amid evolving global economic and geopolitical dynamics.
