The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Friday that it carried out three operations within the last 24 hours targeting Israeli forces in the city of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. The group claimed that the attacks resulted in Israeli casualties.
According to a statement, Al-Qassam fighters lured an Israeli special force on Wednesday into a booby-trapped tunnel in the Qizan al-Najjar area. Upon the force’s arrival and the entry of several soldiers into the tunnel, it was detonated using multiple explosive charges, killing and injuring a number of soldiers.
In another incident on the same day, the group reported detonating three powerful explosives beneath two Israeli D9 military bulldozers.
A third operation, carried out on Thursday, targeted three D9 bulldozers with a “Yassin 105” shell, a “Shawaz” device, and a barrel bomb.
These operations come amid ongoing confrontations between Palestinian resistance factions and Israeli forces, as the conflict in Gaza continues for over six months, resulting in thousands of civilian casualties and reported losses in the Israeli military ranks.
