Two people were killed and at least five others were injured in a shooting incident at Florida State University on Thursday.

Security sources reported that the shooter, a 20-year-old, is the son of the deputy police chief. Law enforcement officials found a weapon belonging to law enforcement at the scene of the incident.

University Police Chief Jason Trumble stated that the two deceased individuals were not students, but it is believed that the shooter is a student at the university.
