Oman’s Sultan Arrives in Moscow for State Visit and Talks with Putin

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman arrived in Moscow today, Monday, for a two-day state visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. His aircraft landed at the Vnukovo-2 government airport, where he was received by senior Russian officials and diplomatic representatives.

According to the Oman News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new avenues for cooperation in trade, economy, and investment. Regional and international developments will also be discussed.

The Kremlin stated that the summit between Sultan Haitham and President Putin will focus on deepening partnership across sectors including culture, energy, finance, and humanitarian cooperation, aligning with Oman’s foreign policy goals of diversification.

This visit comes amid accelerating global and regional shifts, positioning Oman to enhance its diplomatic role and secure its economic interests in the evolving geopolitical landscape.
