Putin Signs Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty with Iran for Twenty Years

Russian President Vladimir Putin officially signed a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty with Iran on Monday, extending for twenty years and covering cooperation in defense, security, and energy.

This step follows the signing of the agreement with Iranian President Massoud Bezhkian in January.

The treaty outlines enhanced coordination to address military threats, conduct joint military exercises, and explore the possibility of building new nuclear reactors in Iran.

It also includes a clause affirming the commitment not to support any aggressor if either party faces military aggression.

Meanwhile, Russia expressed its support for ongoing direct and indirect talks between Iran and the United States regarding the nuclear issue.
