Aid organizations are struggling to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in North Darfur, Sudan, due to ongoing attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the United Nations has warned.
Clementine Nkweta-Salami, the UN humanitarian coordinator for Sudan, stated that access to humanitarian aid is “dangerously restricted” in the capital city of el-Fasher and surrounding areas, where the RSF has intensified its assaults in recent weeks.
An estimated 450,000 people are reportedly on the move, further complicating the delivery of essential assistance.
