Trump to Visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and UAE in Regional Tour From May 13 to 16

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt announced that U.S. President Donald Trump will visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates from May 13 to 16, as part of a regional tour—his second international trip since taking office on January 20, 2025.

According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), the visit will follow directly after Trump’s trip to the Vatican, where he is scheduled to attend the funeral of Pope Francis next Saturday.

Details of the president’s itinerary in the Gulf region have not yet been disclosed. However, the visit is expected to focus on security and defense cooperation, economic partnerships, and coordination on key regional issues, particularly energy security and regional stability.

This tour marks a significant step in the U.S. administration’s efforts to strengthen ties with its strategic allies in the Gulf, at a time when the region is facing mounting political and security challenges.
