Harvard University Sues U.S. Government Over Federal Grant Freeze

On Monday, Harvard University announced it has filed a lawsuit to stop the federal government’s freeze on over $2.2 billion in grants, defying Trump administration orders to restrict student activities.

University President Alan Garber stated the institution would not comply with these demands, citing the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech.

The administration also threatened to block future international student admissions.
