Gaza: Death Toll Rises to 23 Martyrs in Israeli Strike on Jabalia

Gaza’s Civil Defense teams reported on Friday the recovery of 11 additional martyrs from beneath the rubble of a residential home targeted by an Israeli airstrike in the Al-Halawa area of Jabalia, northern Gaza. This raises the total number of martyrs from this particular attack to 23, according to Mohammad Al-Mugheer, head of medical logistics at the Civil Defense, speaking to AFP.

In a separate tragedy, five Palestinians from the same family—martyred in an Israeli bombing—were killed, including a pregnant woman and her three children, after their tent was struck in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA).

These deadly assaults come amid a renewed escalation since the breakdown of the ceasefire in March. More than 1,600 Palestinians have reportedly been martyred, and hundreds of thousands displaced, as humanitarian conditions worsen under continued blockade.
