Ukraine Downs 103 Russian Drones in Overnight Assault

Ukraine’s Air Force announced on Friday that Russian forces launched 103 drones overnight in a large-scale aerial attack targeting multiple regions across the country. Ukrainian air defense systems successfully shot down 41 of them, while another 40 were diverted using electronic jamming techniques.

According to the military, the attacks caused damage in the regions of Kharkiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk.

In a particularly deadly incident, a 76-year-old woman was killed and eight others injured in the city of Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast after a drone struck a residential neighborhood. Regional governor Serhiy Lysak confirmed the fatalities via Telegram, stating, “Russian forces have once again launched a massive drone strike on the region.”

The wave of drone attacks comes amid escalating military confrontations on multiple fronts as the war in Ukraine continues to intensify.
