Around 300,000 mourners gathered in the streets of Rome today to bid farewell to Pope Francis, whose funeral reflected the values of humility.

The procession moved toward the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where he was buried in a modest grave marked only with his Latin name.

Forty special guests, including migrants and homeless individuals, attended to pay their respects.
