The U.S. Navy reported on Monday that a fighter jet of the F-18 model crashed into the Red Sea after being launched from the USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier.

The aircraft carrier is involved in airstrikes against the Iran-aligned Houthi group in Yemen.

The U.S. military announced on Sunday that it has targeted over 800 sites since mid-March, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of Houthi fighters and the destruction of facilities belonging to the armed group.
