France Calls on Israeli Occupation to End “Massacre” in Gaza and Sets Conditions for Recognizing Palestinian State

The spokesperson for the French government, Sophie Primas, called on the Israeli occupation to stop the current “massacre” in Gaza.

In a press statement, she also demanded the release of Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip, the disarmament of Hamas, and the reform of the Palestinian Authority.

She emphasized that these conditions represent steps toward France’s recognition of the Palestinian state, which President Emmanuel Macron announced would take place in June.

Macron indicated that the recognition could occur during a United Nations conference in New York as part of international efforts to resolve the conflict between the Israeli occupation and the Palestinians.
