The Israeli occupation authorities released a group of Palestinian detainees from Gaza on Tuesday evening, including paramedic Asaad al-Nassasra, a survivor of last month’s Tel al-Sultan massacre.
Eyewitnesses reported that ten released detainees arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, via the International Committee of the Red Cross, noting that their health conditions are dire.
According to a brief statement by the Prisoners’ Media Office, the released detainees were transferred through the “Kissufim” checkpoint before being taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for medical treatment.
Local sources confirmed that all the released prisoners had been held at the notorious Sde Teiman prison, known for its harsh conditions and abusive treatment.
This release comes amid growing reports of deteriorating conditions faced by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation jails, particularly those from the Gaza Strip.
