Algeria to Host 38th Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference on May 3–4

Algeria is preparing to host the 38th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union on May 3–4, at the International Conference Center in the capital, Algiers, under the theme: “The Role of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Amid Regional and International Transformations.”

Delegations from various Arab parliaments are expected to participate in the high-level event, which will include intensive discussions on strategic issues affecting the Arab world in light of ongoing regional and global shifts. A particular focus will be placed on the Palestinian cause, especially the continued aggression against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories, notably in the Gaza Strip.

The conference aims to produce practical and unified decisions that reflect the historical responsibility of Arab legislative institutions and strengthen Arab solidarity in confronting the shared political, security, and economic challenges. The event comes at a time of significant geopolitical shifts and growing instability in the region.
