Pakistan Says India Planning Military Strike Within 24–36 Hours

Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, stated on Wednesday that the country has “credible intelligence” indicating India is planning to launch a military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours.

In a post on the social media platform X, Tarar claimed that India is preparing for a strike “using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext”—referring to last week’s deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir that killed 26 tourists.

“Any aggression will be met with a decisive response,” he warned, adding that “India will bear full responsibility for any serious consequences in the region.”

Tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors have escalated in recent days, after India accused Pakistani elements of involvement in the attack. Islamabad has denied any role and called for an impartial investigation.

As of this report, India’s Ministry of External Affairs has not issued an official response.
