The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Thursday that the number of martyrs from the ongoing assault by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip has risen to 52,718, the majority of whom are women and children, while the number of wounded has reached 118,091.

In a statement, the ministry said that hospitals in Gaza received 18 martyrs and 77 injured individuals over the past 24 hours alone, amid continuous Israeli attacks.

Since the Israeli occupation breached the ceasefire agreement on March 18, the ongoing aggression has resulted in 2,326 martyrs and 6,050 injuries, according to the ministry.

The statement also noted that many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with emergency and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to constant bombardment and collapsed infrastructure.
