On Sunday, the Metropolitan Police announced that counter-terrorism officers arrested several Iranians suspected of planning an attack on an unspecified target in London.

Five men aged between 29 and 46 were detained across various locations in England, four of whom hold Iranian nationality.

The British domestic intelligence agency had previously warned of rising threats linked to Tehran.
