Denmark has summoned the US chargé d’affaires in Copenhagen to investigate reports of espionage activities in Greenland.

The country describes the situation as “extremely concerning” and says it undermines ally cooperation.

The Danish Foreign Ministry stated that Washington has intensified its intelligence operations in the self-governing territory, which is seen as a breach of the cooperation frameworks between the two countries.
