Ukrainian intelligence announced on Friday the detention of two individuals suspected of spying for Hungarian military intelligence.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) stated that the detainees, former members of the Ukrainian military, were recruited by Hungary to conduct espionage activities detrimental to the state.

These developments come amid rising tensions between Ukraine and Hungary, with Ukraine expelling Hungarian diplomats in response to a similar action taken by Budapest.
