Military Escalation in Sudan: 33 Killed in Rapid Support Forces Attacks

Sudan witnessed a dangerous military escalation on Saturday between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, with attacks resulting in the deaths of at least 33 people.

Local sources reported that a strike by the Rapid Support Forces on a prison in El-Obeid resulted in the deaths of 19 inmates, while 14 members of the same family were killed in an airstrike in Darfur.

Additionally, Sudanese Air Force aircraft conducted intensive strikes on RSF positions in Nyala and Geneina, leading to the destruction of weapon depots.

In response, the Rapid Support Forces intensified their drone attacks, targeting the prison in El-Obeid, which resulted in the deaths of 19 inmates and injuries to 45 others.
