Powerful Bomb Targets Police Vehicle in Peshawar, Killing Two Officers

A powerful bomb exploded near a police vehicle in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least two police officers and injuring three others, police said on Sunday.

According to Masood Khan, the local police chief, the attack occurred near an open roadside market. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but suspicion falls on Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has frequently targeted security forces and civilians in the region.

The incident is part of a recent surge in violence in Peshawar, raising concerns about the deteriorating security situation in the area. Authorities have launched an investigation and intensified security measures in anticipation of further attacks.
