The International Civil Aviation Organization has confirmed that Russia was responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over Ukraine in 2014, resulting in the deaths of all 298 passengers and crew on board.

At the request of the Australian and Dutch governments, the organization has called on Russia to take responsibility and pay compensation, while Russia has denied any involvement in the incident.
