At least 32 Palestinians, the majority of them women and children, were martyred and dozens more injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip from late Wednesday through Thursday morning.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, 27 of the martyrs were killed in a wave of air raids that struck several homes in Khan Younis. Medical staff at Nasser Medical Complex reported that most of the casualties brought in were children.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces bombed numerous residential homes in the northern and eastern parts of Khan Younis, resulting in widespread destruction and additional civilian casualties.
In a separate attack, five more Palestinians were martyred and several injured when Israeli aircraft targeted a family home in the town of Jabalia, in northern Gaza.
These latest attacks bring the death toll from Israel’s ongoing military offensive on the Gaza Strip to 52,928 martyrs, with 119,846 injured since October 7, 2023—figures described by rights groups as evidence of a campaign of genocide against the Palestinian population.
