Violent clashes erupted between police and protesters outside the Novi Sad court on Friday as demonstrations escalated for the second consecutive day.

The protests were in response to the arrest of activists and students accused of “attempting to overthrow the constitutional order.”

Demonstrators gathered at the court entrances, prompting riot police to intervene and confrontations to break out.
