Oman’s Foreign Minister announced the conclusion of the fifth round of nuclear talks between Iranian and American delegations, held in Rome on Friday.

Following the negotiations, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the Omani mediator sought to overcome obstacles, but he did not expect the nuclear discussions to continue.

His Omani counterpart noted some progress was made, though not decisive.

The issue of uranium enrichment remains central to the talks, with U.S. officials insisting that Iran cannot continue uranium enrichment in any agreement, while Iran emphasizes that the absence of enrichment means “no agreement.”
