Algeria has strongly condemned the planned French-Moroccan military exercises scheduled for September 2025 in the city of Errachidia, near the Algerian border, deeming them a “provocation.”
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the French ambassador to inform him of the seriousness of these exercises, emphasizing that they could exacerbate the ongoing crisis between the two countries over the issue of immigration, especially following the deadly attack in Mulhouse, for which the main suspect was of Algerian origin.
