California Attorney General Sues Trump, UN Criticizes “Militarization” in Los Angeles

The Attorney General of California has announced a decision to sue President Donald Trump over the deployment of the National Guard in Los Angeles.

In response, Trump described the decision to send the National Guard to combat violence and riots in California as “great,” noting that failing to take such action would have resulted in the “complete erasure” of Los Angeles.

These events come amid ongoing clashes for the third consecutive night during protests related to immigration, with approximately 500 U.S. Marines on standby to intervene in the city.

At the same time, the United Nations criticized the situation in Los Angeles, stating that it does not wish for further militarization.

It expressed concern over the use of military force in response to protests, calling for peaceful solutions that promote dialogue and reconciliation among the various parties, amid rising tensions in the city.
