European Union Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič said on Friday that the EU is “fully engaged” in reaching an agreement with the United States to avoid the imposition of wide-ranging tariffs, following a U.S. court ruling that deemed such controversial measures unconstitutional.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter) after a phone call held Thursday with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Šefčovič stated:
“We are investing our full time and effort, because delivering future-proof solutions remains a top priority for the European Union. We remain in constant contact.”
