Local authorities reported at least four deaths as a result of two tornadoes caused by Hurricane Milton on the east coast of Florida on Thursday.

In a statement posted on its website, St. Lucie County confirmed that four people lost their lives due to the tornadoes, according to foreign media sources.

Additionally, power was cut off to approximately 2.8 million homes and businesses across Florida early Thursday morning as Hurricane Milton swept through the state, according to CNN.
