Palestinian Health Minister Mai Al-kaila tragically announced the death of 39 infants in the neonatal intensive care unit at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza.

This devastating loss was a direct result of the Israeli blockade, preventing the crucial delivery of oxygen to the hospital, compounded by the ongoing aggression in the region.

Al-kaila held the international community, the United Nations, and Israel accountable for the heartbreaking loss of these innocent lives. She vehemently condemned the Israeli military’s use of white phosphorus in the shelling of Al-Shifa Complex, highlighting its international prohibition

The medical complex has been surrounded by Israeli military vehicles, subjected to indiscriminate shelling, and plunged into complete darkness since early Saturday.
