The Palestinian Red Crescent announced today, Thursday, that 28 people have been killed and 54 others injured due to an Israeli airstrike targeting a school housing displaced individuals in Deir al-Balah, Gaza.

The Israeli army clarified that the strike aimed at active militants within the complex. In a statement, the army added: “Before executing the strike, we took several measures to minimize the risk of civilian casualties, including the use of precise munitions, conducting aerial reconnaissance, and utilizing additional intelligence information.
