Putin Invites Arab Leaders to Attend First Russia–Arab Summit in October

Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially invited the leaders of Arab countries and the Secretary-General of the Arab League to participate in the first-ever Russia–Arab Summit, scheduled to be held on October 15.

The announcement came in a message sent by Putin to Arab leaders on the occasion of the opening of the 34th Arab League Summit, currently taking place in Baghdad.

In the message, Putin expressed his best wishes for the success of the summit and reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to strengthening constructive dialogue with the Arab League and fostering friendly relations with all its member states.

“In this regard, I would like to invite all leaders of your countries, as well as the Secretary-General of the League, to attend the first Russia–Arab Summit we plan to host on October 15,” Putin stated.

The invitation marks a significant diplomatic initiative by Moscow to deepen political and economic engagement with the Arab world and expand multilateral cooperation.
