Saudi Arabia has allocated 11 air ambulance aircraft as part of its comprehensive health preparedness plan for the current Hajj season, Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel announced on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference in Riyadh, Al-Jalajel stated that the air ambulances are equipped to transport critical cases requiring urgent medical attention, ensuring swift intervention across the holy sites and to specialized hospitals when needed.

The deployment of the aircraft is part of a broader emergency medical strategy that also includes 900 ambulances and 71 medical points distributed throughout the pilgrimage areas. These measures are designed to provide fast and effective healthcare services to pilgrims.

He emphasized the readiness of medical teams to respond to any emergencies and praised the cooperation of pilgrims in adhering to health guidelines during the pilgrimage.
