Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz has issued a directive to host 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims from the families of martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded to perform Hajj this year, according to a statement by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Monday.
The initiative will be carried out at the King’s personal expense as part of the “Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit,” overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.
The hosting program aims to provide humanitarian and spiritual support to Palestinians facing difficult conditions, particularly as Israel continues its military campaign in Gaza for the twentieth consecutive month, alongside ongoing violence in the occupied West Bank.
This royal gesture reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s long-standing support for the Palestinian cause and reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people during times of hardship.
