Fourteen people were killed and others injured on Wednesday morning due to artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces on the Abu Shouk displacement camp near El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state.

The shelling targeted the “Nivasha” market and residential areas within the camp, resulting in significant human and material losses.

The United Nations has warned of a humanitarian disaster, as more than one million people in North Darfur are on the brink of famine, while over 13 million people have been displaced due to the ongoing conflict.
