Taiwan Denies Involvement of Its Companies in Producing Pager Used in Lebanon Explosions

The Taiwanese Investigation Bureau stated on Monday that there is no evidence of Taiwanese companies being involved in producing the “pager” devices that exploded in Lebanon in September, targeting Hezbollah.
The bureau clarified that the Taiwanese company “Gold Apollo” has not produced the “AR-924” model for years and that the devices were supplied by a company called “Frontier Group Entity” outside of Taiwan.
In a related context, Israel publicly claimed responsibility for the operation for the first time, which resulted in 39 deaths and around 3,000 injuries, confirming that Prime Minister Netanyahu approved the operation despite opposition from some senior officials.
