Europol announced that a joint international operation successfully disrupted a vast counterfeit currency distribution network that used postal services.

Authorities seized around one million fake euro, dollar, and pound coins and banknotes worth more than €66 million.

The operation, involving 18 countries, led to 102 new investigations and the interception of 297 parcels containing counterfeit money.
