The European Commission unveiled an action plan to combat cyberbullying, including support for launching a unified application allowing children and young people to safely report online abuse and receive assistance.

The app would enable users to preserve evidence and connect with national helplines and relevant authorities.

The Commission said one in six children aged 11 to 15 experiences cyberbullying, noting that the model would be locally adapted based on existing successful initiatives.
